STATEMENT OF FAITH

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Bible is the written inspired word of God (2 Tim.3:15-17, Matt 5:17-18, Psalm 19:7-8). God breathed into the writers so that they were incapable of making mistakes.

We believe that there is one eternal, all powerful, and all knowing God who exist in three persons, namely:

  1. Father
  2. Son
  3. Holy Ghost

(Deut. 6:4; Gen.1:26; Matt.28:19; Rom.15:30; 2 Cor.13:13; 1 Peter 1:2).

That a person is lost in sin and separated from God until he/she confesses, repents and accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord (Matt.1:21; 1 John 1:9; Luke 13:3).

In water baptism….in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matt 28:19; Rom 6:3-5). Acts 2:38 does not cancel Matt. 28:19)

In baptism with the Holy Ghost as a separate experience from conversion. This baptism opens the believer to spiritual power (Jn. 20:22, Acts 1:8, Acts.2:4; 10:44-48; 19:2-6).

That the saved believer in Christ should seek the fruit and gifts of the Holy Ghost. (Gal. 5:22, 23; Matt.17:18-21; Mark 16:17-20; 1 Cor.1:7; 12:1-11, 31).

In a life that hates sin and loves holiness (Rom. 6:23; 1 Peter 1:13-16; Isaiah 59:2).

That we are commanded by Christ to win the lost (Luke 14:23; Mark 16:15, 16).

In regular church attendance (Heb. 10:25, 1 Cor. 12:12, 14-23, 27).

That there is life after death, the saved goes to a literal heaven (John 14:1-3; I Cor.15:52, 1 Thes. 4:16-18) and the unsaved to a literal hell/Lake Of Fire, (Matt 5:29; Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8).

That a believer will not automatically prosper because he/she is a believer. God’s prosperity and success comes through the principle of sowing and reaping; giving and receiving and faith must be extended to receive. (Gen. 8:22; Luke 6:38; Phil 4:15-19; Deut. 12:5-7; 11-14; Malachi 3:6-12; Eccl.11:1-6, Deut. 8:18).

That pastors should love and take care of their congregation and that they in return be properly taken care of by the persons they serve (Deut. 12:19; Luke 8:1-3; 1 Cor.9:7-14; Phil 4:15-19; Jer. 3:15; 23:1-4).

That love is the foundation to a happy, prosperous and victorious and fulfilled Christian life. (1 Cor.13:1; 1 John 2:9-11; 4:7-21).

We believe that (Matthew 19:9, 1 Cor. 7:1-17, 10:15, Matt 5:31-32, Mark 10:2-12) should be the basis of divorce and remarriage. However each case will be dealt with on its own merit.

We believe in the partaking of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11: 24-27, Luke 22:19-20, John 6:53-58, Acts 2:42).

We believe in Water Baptism (John 1:29-34, Matthew 3:11, Matt 28:18-20, Acts 8:36-39).

We believe that babies should be dedicated (1 Sam 1:11, Luke 2:21, Matt 19:13-14, Mark 10:13, Luke 18:16).
